Earth from Above, a view of the Sierra Gorda by Yann Arthus-Bertrand

To express and capture the beauty and life of the dynamic, colorful and extraordinary passion that  characterize the Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve and civil movement to protect it is a gift. Watch this 11 minute documentary, an inspired production (remember Sierra Gorda boasts green macaws, not blue).

Pati Ruiz Corzo and Yann Arthus-Bertrand met in 2008 in Dubai during the first World Agenda Council of the World Economic Forum, the most outspoken and emotionally connected members willing to speak on behalf of Nature.  That connection was real and when the Vu du Ciel t.v. series decided to include profiles of Heros for Nature, Yann brought his film crew to the Sierra Gorda.  Famous for his mega photo exhibition, Earth From Above, Yann´s work was chosen for the U.N. Year of the Forests describing environmental services and societies role.  Of Forests and Men is translated into 7 languages, click here.

We are amazed how many people have recognized Pati from that one time airing of the segment on French National Television and this year, Good Planet Foundation donated the segment for translation and subtitling in English and Spanish to share with a wider public.  Share this and inspire people to protect our living planet.
